First, determine where you need to install the side steps and then attach the mounting bracket to the rock rail. Please note that there may be a protruding part on the back of the rail, which could hinder proper clamping of the bracket onto it. In this case, you need to adjust/move the side step until the step bracket can properly clamp onto/around/over (the) rock rail. Finally, tighten all bolts securely.
